Manufacturing Process
At M&W, we believe that each board that goes through the process should be of the best quality and the journey from its first step to installation should be a smooth one. Let us dive into our step-by-step process of how each piece is manufactured.
01
Sourcing Best Materials
At M&W, we believe that if the raw material is of good quality, the finished product will speak the same language as they share the same DNA. We source our raw materials from some of the best players in the market because every little step in the process ensures that the result is top-notch.
02
Pasting of Laminates
Pasting laminate onto the main board is like marrying two different kinds of materials together. At M&W, we use a low-viscosity glue that evenly is rolled out onto the core material so that there are no bubbles formed or air trapped between the laminate and core material. Once the glue is laid out, we then cold press these two products together to make sure that the laminate does not peel off and we get a bubble-free even outer texture.
03
Cutting
This step moulds the raw material using a Panel Saw machine which cuts the board into a precise size getting it to the exact measurements the designer takes. This step is crucial as this is where the finishing of the goods is attained and we use the best quality blades to make sure that each piece is cut to precision.
04
Edge Banding
This is another critical step that we at M&W believe determines the quality of each piece. We use an automated edge banding machine to paste the edge band onto the panel. Laser sensors then detect the presence of any sharp edges and then smooth it out. This step makes sure that your panel is waterproof and hermetically sealed, meaning that no air or moisture can now enter the panel, and the insides are completely protected from any outside element that might hinder the quality of the panel.
05
Drilling
Using the machine, following the instructions set by the designer, at M&W, we know the value of each drilling hole which has to adhere to the drawings else the pieces would not fit together and the whole purpose of modular goes for a toss.
06
Quality Check
At M&W, we have a dedicated team that is trained to catch even the slightest of errors. They check every single panel for defects, scratches, air bubbles, dust, laminate colour, dimensions and drilling holes as per the specifications.
07
Delivery
This is the last journey from our manufacturing unit to the final destination. Packed to guarantee that each panel is safe to travel the distance and handled by many hands they are flat packed using bubble wraps, sheets and corner protectors.
08
Installation & Handover
This is the last leg of the beautiful trip of our process where our assembly team does its magic and very rhythmically puts together each modular panel like a Lego set, bit by bit the space comes alive. Finally, the handover is done and we move out of the space by cleaning it out spick and spack.
